National Award-winning director Bijukumar Damodaran, popularly known as Dr Biju, issued a statement on Monday objecting to the Kerala government's move to invite Mohanlal as the chief guest of the state award distribution function.
Mohanlal had said at a recent press conference that there was no dissenting voice from any actor when the decision
to take Dileep back into AMMA's fold was taken at its general body meeting held in Kochi last month.
As many as 50 prominent members of the Kannada film industry, including Rakhsit Shetty, Prakash Raj, Shraddha Srinath, Sruthi Hariharan among others have endorsed the letter demanding the Malayalam actors' guild to withdraw its decision on Dileep.

Meanwhile, the party members assembled at the party headquarter to celebrate Amma's birthday. According to reports, birthday celebrations for Jayalalithaa had already begun in the state since the beginning of this month.
