Akhilesh Yadav

Akhilesh Yadav is the president of the Samajwady Party and has served as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh - the youngest person in India to hold the office. He assumed office on March 12, 2012 at the age of 38. He is the son of former chief minister of UP, Mulayam Singh Yadav. Before joining politics he completed his degree in Engineering from University of Sydney, Australia. Yadav formally entered politics in 2000 when he won a seat in the Lok Sabha from Kannauj.
