Delhi to have its own next-gen board which will not be replica of CBSE: Sisodia

The Delhi government envisions the board to be the answer to the current situation where students prepare for board examinations with the help of schools but have to take the help of coaching centres to clear their engineering and medical entrance exams, said Manish Sisodia.

The AAP had, in its annual budget, announced that it would set up multiple academies. At a recent press conference, Manish Sisodia said he had been reviewing the arts and culture department since taking charge and “realised that the approach towards languages needed to be changed extensively”.

The AAP, which came to power in February 2015, has had frequent run-ins with the BJP-led Centre and the Lt Governor's office over various issues. The party has repeatedly accused the Centre of "not allowing" the Delhi government to work freely.
