IFA 2016: Huawei Nova First Look

Huawei is growing up to be the next big force in the smartphone industry. The company is currently the No 1 smartphone maker in China and No 3 globally in terms of shipments and its online-only brand, Honor is doing significantly well in markets like India.

Now at IFA 2016, Huawei has announced a new series of smartphones named Nova. Huawei Nova and Nova Plus come with design similar to some of the premium Huawei devices and resembles Honor 7’s metal design. Huawei Nova is the smaller of the two offerings with a 5-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Interestingly, the camera placement on Huawei Nova is very much similar to the Nexus 6P.

Huawei Nova sports a 12-megapixel primary camera with 1.25 micron pixel sensor for better photos in low-light. The smartphone also comes with a decent 3020mAh battery with company’s smart power 4.0 battery saver technology. Huawei Nova also features a rear fingerprint scanner like Nexus 6P with 360 degree support.
