Rio 2016: Narsingh Yadav Dope Controversy Hearing At NADA

Narsingh Yadav will know his fate of going or not going to Rio 2016 Olympics as he undergoes a hearing at the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) office in New Delhi. He has already undergone a disciplinary hearing on the weekend where he presented his case after both his samples returned positive.

Since the setback on the weekend, Narsingh has cried foul over the samples returning positive and put the blame on a junior wrestler in the Sports Authority of India (SAI) mess in Sonepat. The wrestler who competes in the 74kg freestyle category has filed a police report in this regard and asked the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to intervene.

Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has put their support behind Narsingh while being forced to put Parveen Rana in the reserved slot to save India the quota place.
