Union Minister Babul Supriyo was allegedly attacked on Wednesday by Trinamool Congress supporters in Asansol when he was on way to a police station to stage a protest against the arrest of some BJP workers. Video footage of the incident showed an irate mob attacking Supriyo’s convoy. Stones were pelted at his car and one of it appeared to have struck the Asansol MP.
