PM Modi’s 96-year-old mother exchanges currency notes at Ahmedabad bank

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, Heeraben Modi, 96, visited a bank in Ahmedabad on Tuesday morning to swap her currency notes. After arriving at the bank in a wheelchair, she was helped inside by two ladies accompanying her. Heeraben exchanged Rs 4,500 for new currency notes, news agency ANI reported. Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikant Das yesterday announced that there will be separate queues for senior citizens and “divyang”.
