Opinion | Why Is The SCO So Important For India?

SCO was formulated in 1996 with five countries- Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China, Tajikistan. Uzbekistan joined in the group in 2001. The primary motive behind the formation was to ensure stability along the borders. India and Pakistan, who have been observers, will become permanent members of the body.

    PM Modi had cleverly praised Cchina as if India became Member at SCO due to its support whereas the w world knows very well that it is Russia that backs India and China backed stan to become members of SCO. Anyhow if India gets its business from other members of SCO it is advantage to expand our Trade and Investments from SCO Member Countries which is beneficial to be mutual among the SCO Member Countries. Now let us see how China and stan uses this facility will decide their role or else they will be sidelines if the confront with SCO for their selfish goals and acts.
