Opinion | How The BJP Painted India Saffron In 2017

Saffron has been the colour of 2017. The BJP began the year by storming back to power in Uttar Pradesh after 15 years, and winning 312 seats out of 403, and installing a Hindu priest, Yogi Adityanath as chief minister. The year ended with the BJP returning to power for the sixth consecutive time in Gujarat, fewer seats from last time of course, a mere 100 out off 182, but nevertheless a record of sorts as this is only the second time this has happened in the history of Indian politics. By the end of the year, the length and breadth of India has been painted saffron. The BJP not only held its own, but has consolidated the massive power it was given by the people in 2014.

Modi concentrate on Hindu culture and not Hindu religions. People misunderstand him.If he was communal,he would not fought for "Triple Talak" The proof is Moslims and other communities keep away from ISIS for sake of harmony. That is the spirit he has created among all minorities ! Look at Huj arrangement for moslims in India, the best among all other countries.) Hindu culture is the life style with spiritual (Like Yoga, ) and nothing wrong if other communities follow the same.
