Maritime Security, UNSC Reforms Prime Agenda In PM Modi’s African Tour: MEA

Prime Minister Narendra Modi five-day visit to four African nations, including Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya, will focus primarily on Maritime security, UNSC reforms, informed Secretary (ER) of Ministry of External affairs Amar Sinha on Monday. Sinha said Modi’s visit would also seek to consolidate the gains made at the India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) hosted by New Delhi in October last year. He further said that the Prime Minister would start his visit from Mozambique where he would hold bilateral talks with President Felipe Nyusi and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in several areas.
