Lawyers Protest Against New Set Of Disciplinary Rules Framed By Madras HC

Lawyers from Tamil Nadu rallied at the Chennai High Court to register their protest against a new set of disciplinary rules framed by the Madras High Court on Monday. Lawyers from subordinate courts across the state announced the boycott of court proceedings until the withdrawal of the High Court notification. According to the amendments made by the Madras High Court, judges can debar lawyers who collect money in the name of judges and those who attend court proceedings inebriated.

    It is nothing but shame on the so called "Learned Advocates" with no discipline and behave like Trade Union staffs forgetting the fact that they are representing their clients who are the pay master for them and not the courts.
