Jammu & Kashmir: Bani Valley To Be Developed As Tourist Hub

Bani, the small glaciated valley in Jammu and Kashmir located at a height of 4200 ft in the lap of lofty mountains in Kathua district is all set to get a revamp and be promoted as the tourist destination. MLA Jeevan Lal of Bani constituency of district Kathua is keen to develop Bani which is also known as the mini Kashmir. The state Government is also showing interest in developing the tourism sector in the valley so that more employment might be generated. A cable car project for religious tourism from Bani to Mata Joran Wali is also in pipeline to attract tourism. Special attention is being given to the construction of roads to help improve connectivity.
