Immersion Ceremony Of Lalbaugcha Raja In Mumbai

Maharashtra bid farewell to Lord Ganesh after 11 days. Among the big idols were Ganesh Gally’s ‘Mumbaicha Raja’, ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’ and others that stood up to 20 feet and these were taken to Girgaum for immersion. Millions of devotees along the route, both from within the country and from outside, lined up on the streets for a final glimpse of the god, in many different shapes and sizes, designs and forms.

This annual Ganesh festival is Maharashtra’s largest public festival, that has transcended religious boundaries and is celebrated by people from all communities.
