Here What You Can Do With Old Rs 500, Rs 1000 Currency Notes

In a major step to check black money, the government discontinued Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes. The announcement in this regard was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to the nation. Since currency notes of these two denominations have become invalid, they can be exchanged at in any bank or post office by showing ID proof. For the initial 72 hours, government hospitals and petrol pumps, CNG gas stations will accept the old Rs 500 and 1000 notes till November 11 midnight.

    I think there is no need for Rs500,1000 and 2000 notes, as all transactions are made through e-bank, credit cards. For petty needs, Rs100 notes may do.
