Republican US Presidential Nominee Donald Trump has sent a legal notice to The New York Times asking it to retract a news report in which two women claimed Trump had touched them inappropriately. His attorney said that it is nothing more than a politically motivated effort to defeat Trump’s candidacy. Demanding that NYT must immediately retract the article and issue an apology, Trump’s attorney warned the daily of severe consequences if they failed to so. The New York Times had reported that Trump had touched two women inappropriately in a separate encounter that took place three decades ago. Both women said they were coming forward with their stories because of the recording published last week and Trump’s response to questions about it at the presidential debate.
