As Delhi continues to choke under the worsening smog situation, tourists from across the nation and outside India as well are escaping to hill stations to seek relief from the toxic atmosphere in the national capital. Hill destinations such as Dharamshala and Shimla are witnessing a sudden increase in footfall of the tourists. Many Delhi residents have also planned their trips to the serene and calmer tourist destinations, far away from the hustle-bustle of the city. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a plea with regard to the air pollution today. The plea has been filed by the Environment Pollution Control Authority seeking proper monitoring of the pollution.
