Bhubaneswar Fire: Fire Victims At Capital Hospital

At least 22 patients died of asphyxiation and several others turned critical after a major fire broke out in ICU and dialysis ward of SUM Hospital-cum-medical college, an upscale hospital on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Monday evening.
The 22 were declared dead in the privately-owned AMRI hospital and govt-owned Capital Hospital, where they were admitted after evacuation from SUM, said Khurda district collector Niranjan Sahu. At least 40 more patients admitted in different hospitals are stated to be critical and fighting for their life in the city.
