Udta Punjab Controversy: Youth Has The Right To Know Drugs Are A Menace, Says Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor expressed his anguish at the on-going censor issue that has clouded the release of his film Udta Punjab. Supporting free speech and freedom of expression, a grim looking Shahid said, “We live in the age of information and technology. Our generation and youth has the right to be informed. If they are not getting informed, then there is a problem. Youth has the right to know drugs are a menace. They have a right to know what can happen if they get into it whether it is the youth of Punjab, Maharashtra or whole of India.”
For Shahid, it’s important Udta Punjab because of the message delivered in the film. “We have to support the message delivered in the film. This film has become the face of a fight that has been going on for long. People should be given an opportunity to express. Let’s stick to what our country stands for and what everybody is trying to fight for.”———————————————————————————————

Drug menace is in all over India. Why only Udta Punjab why not Udta India. These film producers and directors are selling their dreams among public, They are earning crores of rupees. Why they are defaming Punjab only. If there is question of freedom of expression. where were these directors and producers 'when more than 3000 Sikhs were killed after ination of Mrs jhi. Why they did's express their anguish against the then Rajiv hi Government and why noone has produced any film to show this world how people were killed by the Centra and state terrorism against one particular community. Punjab is a border state and it is the duty of the Border Security Force to; take stern action against these anti social elements. These drugs are supplied from Afghanistan via stani route. Are our BSF soldiers are under deep sleep or are they connived with the drug smugglers. There is nobody who is supporting have drugs. What our Police in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan is doing? The route of the drugs are through these states.lt;br/gt;Some producers and directors are falsely claiming that they are big part of Punjab.lt;br/gt;They did nothing for Punjab or Punjabi language and they are shedding only crocodile tears to earn money, Please show the failure of the State Police and officials of central and states and spare people of Punjab in drug menance. Hang these suppliers of drugs publicly. People in Delhi are more drug addicted than Punjab.
