Delhi Police is seeking a priority sanction against Somnath Bharti in the alleged molestation of African women.
The NHRC is hearing the case accusing Bharti of racial prejudice and unlawful acts against 12 African women.
Rakhi Birla, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Girish Soni are others who would not be part of the new cabinet.
“What Somnath Bharti did here is commendable but he did not get a proper hearing.”
The court had asked the prosecution agency to reply to Bharti’s plea in a month.
The AAP leader has also been asked to appear before the Commission on the next date of hearing in January.
The NHRC had held Bharti guilty of “racial prejudice and unlawful acts” during his raid in Khirki Extension.
The NHRC had observed that Bharti had ‘violated the law while holding a constitutional post’.
Asked why party fielded Bharti who is facing serious charges, AAP maintained that the former Law Minister was innocent.

Bharti and his advocate alleged that the law was “grossly misused” by police who had implicated him by fabricating evidence and suppressed 13 crucial facts from the court.
