On Tuesday, the AAP had sought to distance itself from the controversy.
When Arvind Kejriwal was asked about the issue, he evaded the question.
Ilmi said that her statement was being distorted and misconstrued.
Jaitley noted that if the Delhi Assembly elections were the high point for AAP, the Lok Sabha elections will spell doom for it.
