Tharoor was questioned by police on January 19 for around four hours at the office of AATS.
He was speaking at the Jaipur Literature Festival on his book India Shastras which has essays on Modi government.
In an interaction with Mihir Sharma and Amrita Tripathi on his latest book ‘India Shastra’, he spoke at length about what forms the essence of his book.
The questioning will hinge on the five points that police have prepared.

Shashi Tharoor was also questioned in connection with the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.
Delhi Police made it clear that it will probe if IPL angle was related to the death of Sunanda Pushkar.
“He (Tharoor) was cooperative. We will now analyse and take a call,” said police.
Sources said Tharoor will be questioned about the happenings of January 17, 2014 when Sunanda was found dead.
“No, he has not been questioned, we will soon do that. He is out of town and probably will come back in the evening,” said Bassi.
The police chief refused to reveal what the SIT has come across so far during questioning of several individuals so far.
Tharoor was also critical of the Modi government, saying there is a huge gap between rhetoric and reality.
“Whatever the Delhi Police does, they do it in an impartial manner,” the Home Minister said.
The samples will be sent to a lab either in the US or UK but the final decision has not been taken so far.
Tharoor held a late-night meeting with Ahmed Patel, the political secretary to Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
