A notice that was issued by the BJP government in Haryana against Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra regarding his land deal with DLF Universal Ltd may not stand legal scrutiny.
“I have a very strong and very good family. No matter what I read about myself I know the truth,” said Robert Vadra.
I would not say never, let’s see what future has in store for me, said Robert Vadra when asked about a plunge into active politics
Skylight is also under the scanner of the Justice S N Dhingra inquiry commission that is looking into allotment of commercial licences to various companies during the previous Congress government.
Vadra’s company had purchased nearly 3.5 acre land in Shikohpur village and later sold it to DLF after completing certain formalities during Hooda’s tenure as CM.
The commission of inquiry, led by retired Justice S N Dhingra, had initially summoned Hooda on March 21. The commission was formed by the M L Khattar government last year.
In a Facebook post, Robert Vadra, who’s married to Priyanka Gandhi, claimed: “I have done his best to voice each persons views through my platform.”
Khemka is currently posted as Secretary and Director General, Archaeology and Museums Department of Haryana Government.
AAP’s Delhi unit convenor Dilip Pandey called Vadra “biggest hypocrite” and advising him to contribute and not comment on the initiative.
“Odd and Even ways !! Creating parallel lists of exemption, is complete hypocrisy. If a law is implemented in the interest of the people, we all must adhere, and not be VIPs,” said Varda.
His comment came just before the appearance of Sonia and Rahul before a court here in connection with the National Herald case.
The IAS officer cancelled a land deal between Robert Vadra’s firm and DLF during the previous Congress regime in Haryana, leading to proceedings against him that have now been dropped.
Vadra said that “perception about me seems to have become so deeply embedded that it seems as if the truth does not matter to anyone anymore”.
License granted to Robert Vadra’s Skylight Hospitalities in 2008 comes under Haryana government scanner.
The government on Wednesday removed the name of Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, from the no-frisking list of the airports.
