Holding Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal responsible for the desecration, Amarinder said the Congress would not contest in protest as the issue was still unresolved.
The hospital administration was informed about the PM’s visit soon after the summit at the Taj hotel concluded.
The chief minister took the decision while presiding over a high-level meeting at his office here on Wednesday.
Badal said that, the People of Punjab and our security forces “are fully equipped to give a befitting reply to any attempt from across the border to undermine our national unity and integrity”.

According to Badal, the “controversies” have been creating an unsavoury situation for all those who take pride in national martyrs.
Village gyms, community halls and cremation grounds in the constituency got susbtantial amount of money, but schools got nothing.
“This issue has bruised the psyche of every Sikh and SAD is duty-bound to ensure that its perpetrators were brought to the book,” Badal said.
The chief minister said the policies of successive governments at the Centre had led to Punjab going hungry.
“Biggest factor for the people of Punjab is peace and tranquility. They know we will never allow the peace to be broken, will never allow people of different religions to fight just because it could get us votes,” says Badal
They were marching from Mohali to gherao CM Parkash Singh Badal’s residence in Sector 3, Chandigarh.
