Rabia Khan, mother of actress late Jiah Khan, has been asked by the Bombay High Court to file her reply within a week to a Rs.100-crore defamation suit filed against her by the actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab
Rabbiya Khan claimed that her Twitter account had been hacked in the past. “I will not tweet anything in future.”
Pancholi’s family filed a Rs 100 crore defamation suit against Rabya for allegedly making “derogatory comments” about them on social media.
The court felt that an independent agency like the CBI should probe the case.
Jiah Khan was found dead in her Mumbai home in June last year.
A memorial service is being planned in London with her Jiah’s Rabiyya, family and friends.
Jiah Khan’s mother has alleged that the police had ignored the opinion of a forensic expert sought by her.
Rabya had earlier said Sooraj, had admitted to his friend in a drunken state that he killed Jiah, and was now conspiring to kill her.
While the police have chargesheeted Sooraj Pancholi for abetting Jiah’s suicide, Jiah’s mother Rabya claimed her daughter was murdered.

Last month, Jiah’s mother Rabiya, was assured that the US consulate were offering help in probing Jiah’s death.
Jiah’s mother Rabya had earlier produced a letter from the office of a Mumbai-based top US consulate official claiming the FBI had offered assistance in the actor’s death probe.
The actress, a US citizen, was found to have hanged herself at her Juhu residence on June 3 last year.
The police have included the preliminary forensics probe and final postmortem report in the chargesheet, which terms the death unnatural due to “asphyxiation”.
Rabya has refused to believe the police theory that Jiah, 25, hanged herself in her Juhu partment on June 3 last year, following a fight with her former boyfriend, actor Sooraj Pancholi.
