Tintu Luka, 29: Tintu Luka is known as “PT Usha’s prodigious girl”. And rightfully so, she has been making mark at major events in the 800 metres as well as the 400 metres category. Tintu, who hails from Kerala, also holds the national record in the women’s 800 metres category. PT Usha is in-charge of mentoring her and is currently training at the Usha School of Athletics, Koyilandy, Kerala. Tintu is also supported by the Olympic Gold Quest. She has been one of the most consistent performers for India over the last couple of years. Usha particularly chose Luka to advise her on winning a medal at Rio 2016 Olympics. She was also  awarded the prestigious Arjuna award by Government of India in 2014. She might have missed the qualification mark for the 2012 London Olympics finals, but that won’t deter her focus in the upcoming summer games. She comes from a very small village of Valathode in Kannur, Kerala, but she has broken a lot of National records. She clocked 1:59.17 in the 800m event in the Continental Cup, Croatia, 2010 to break Shiny Wilson’s 15-year-old National record. She was also part of the 4x100m gold medal winning team in 2014 Asian Games.
