Former Indian cricketer and Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar unveiled the BMW i8 of luxury carmaker BMW India on Wednesday (February 5).

Sachin Tendulkar's launch was the highlight of the first day of Auto Expo curently underway in Greater Noida. Hybrid car i8 will come as a completely built-up (CBU) unit to India by the end of year 2014. In total four cars from the brand were unveiled. (PTI)

The company also unveiled all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo at Rs 42.75 lakh, all-new X5 and BMW M6 Gran Coupé at the 12th Auto Expo 2014. (PTI)

"Locally-produced at BMW plant in Chennai, the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo will be available at dealerships across the country from March 2014," BMW Group India President Philipp von Sahr said, adding that it will be available in a diesel variant. (PTI)
