Artist Shigeki Matsuyama presented an interesting art installation called Narcissism: Dazzle Room at a fashion and design exhibition in Tokyo, Japan on September 14. The artist has taken inspiration from the dazzle camouflage used during World War I (1914-1918) to create a strong contrast of black and white in the exhibition. The model in his exhibition has been painted with strong strokes of black and white hues. The 'room33' fashion and design trade show took place at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.
The 47-year-old artist has exhibited similar art installations earlier this year in Japan too. Following the 2011 East Japan Earthquake, Matsuyama held a solo exhibition in Tokyo called UNEASINESS, which further inspired him to deviate from his career as an illustrator and begin concentrating on art, so he could create more conceptual work.
