Rs 500, Rs 1000 notes abolished: PM Narendra Modi thanks Rajinikanth, Karan Johar
PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday (November 8) announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will be abolished and new currency notes will be issued Thursday (November 10) onwards. His bold step against black money was appreciated by all including filmstars. PM Modi took to Twitter to thanks the stars for their congratulatory messages. Superstar Rajinikanth, while praising PM Modi’s decision, said it will pave the way for a new India. He tweeted, "Hats off @narendramodi ji. New india is born #JaiHind." And Modi had a perfect reply to this tweet.
He wrote, "Thank you. All of us have to work shoulder to shoulder and create a prosperous, inclusive and corruption free India."
