Actress Karisma Kapoor, who is the first girl from Kapoor khandaan to have worked in Bollywood, celebrates her 40th birthday today on June 25. Karisma, who left movies at the peak of her career for her family, is now back with a bang in the business. The actress ushered in her birthday with younger sister Kareena Kapoor in London last year. However, this time she plans to spend time away from family with her rumoured beau Sandeep Toshniwal. Here's a look at the some of her rare family moments.

Karisma, who recently made a special appearance in Bombay Talkies, is dazzling in Bollywood. The actress made a comeback to the silver screen after a gap of nine years with 'Dangerous Ishhq'. And reports also suggest that she is also reading a lot of scripts for another appearance.
Karisma is the eldest daughter of actors Randhir and Babita. She was nicknamed Lolo after Hollywood actress Gina Lollobrigida.
