Vidya Balan, who made her Cannes Film Festival debut as the jury member in 2013, wowed us with her choice of traditional wear. The predictable Vidya Balan did manage to grab eyeballs - be it her lehengas or the nathni.
Her personal favourite and friend Sabyasachi - no surprises - designed all the outfits that she wore at the festival. Here's a look at Vidya's style file at the Cannes red carpet.
Vidya Balan looked elegant in her maroon lehenga and full-sleeved choli and completed her ethnic look with a black bindi, neatly tied bun and jhumkas. (AP)
We weren't surprised to see Vidya in her regular Sabyasachi - saris and lehengas.
Seen here in a sea green organza sari with white blouse and pearls. No doubt Vidya looks very graceful but the pearls and the broad border make her look much older.
Next up was a green lehenga - it looked liked a replica of the maroon Sabyasachi she wore for the cocktail prior to the opening of Cannes. The only addition was her nathni, to us it is a spoiler.
Another maroon - this time a sari - Sabyasachi gets Vidya ready for another red carpet appearance, we guess!
The actress first selected a white-gold sari and dark embellished blouse for jury photo call. (AP)
At The Great Gatsby premiere: Vidya Balan opted for a white lehenga and black embellished blouse where she dramatised her look by covering her head with the dupatta. But, she anyways gets a thumbs up. (Reuters)
At Young And Beautiful premiere: Vidya wore her nude Sabyasachi sari with jewellery by Pankaj Surana. And what caught everyone's attention was her jadau nathni.
