Samajwadi Party’s district unit chief Ashok Yadav has lodged a complaint to the poll panel accusing Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh of violating the model code of conduct by “camping” here, in his home district, after the schedule for Uttar Pradesh polls was declared.

In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Naseem Zaidi, yesterday, Yadav alleged that Kalyan Singh, who holds a constitutional position, “misused his office” by “meddling in” political affairs after the poll schedule was declared.

Kalyan Singh, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, reportedly stayed at his native place for five days but left for Rajasthan yesterday following this controversy.

His son, Rajveer Singh, the Lok Sabha member from Etah, said the Rajasthan Governor has “full right” to visit his home district at any time convenient for him.

Also KS used tax payer's money ( car, security guards , fuel etc ) . At least these expenses should be added to his son's election expenses .

Kalyan Singh should have resigned as governor , before camping at his home district , to help his son. He can't have his cake and eat it too. Now the EC must not allow his son to fight in this election or EC must force KS to resign.

All politicians and top bureaucrats of the country misuse tax payer's money. The Supreme Court should take suo moto notice of this malady and set right things. The exchequer will save huge amounts. The money saved could be used for the benefit of the poor of the country.

Kalyan Singh blatantly misused his position by asking support for his gson who is contesting election on BJP ticket from Atrauli. Kalyan Singh should be sacked.
