India is taking away our jobs, not going to happen anymore: Donald Trump

"What I did on June 16, we came out and we started talking about trade, how we're being ripped off with China, ripped off with Japan, ripped off with Mexico at the border and then trade, ripped off by Vietnam, and by India, and by every country," Trump had said.

Donald Trump, the controversial Republican presidential frontrunner, on Sunday again blamed India for taking away jobs from Americans, pledging to bring them back if elected president even as the ‘Trump mania’ appeared to have picked up in the US ahead of “Super Tuesday” showdown.

The 69-year-old real estate tycoon who became a politician only last summer has been drawing thousands of crowd across the country, hoped to “seal the deal”, coming Tuesday by winning Republican primary in all the 11 states.

Super Tuesday refers to one or more Tuesdays early in a presidential primary season when the highest number of states hold primary elections.

Addressing a crowd of roughly 5,000 people, a big by US primary election standard — inside the hanger of a local airport in Tennessee, Trump sold the dream of “making America great again” by promising to bring back jobs from countries like India, China, Japan and Mexico, building the wall on US-Mexico border, “knocking the hell out ISIS”, and repealing and replacing Obama care.

Every promise of his drew a thunderous applause with people cheering “USA, USA” and “Trump, Trump”.

People lapped on to every word he said from the makeshift stage with his Trump plane in the background.

Trump had earlier added India to the list of countries that he believes is taking away jobs from the US.

“What I did on June 16, we came out and we started talking about trade, how we’re being ripped off with China, ripped off with Japan, ripped off with Mexico at the border and then trade, ripped off by Vietnam, and by India, and by every country,” Trump had said.

Trump has been regularly singling out China, Japan and Mexico and occasionally Vietnam for taking away American jobs.

“They are taking our jobs. China is taking our jobs. Japan is taking our jobs. India is taking our jobs. It is not going to happen anymore, folks!” Trump told to thunderous applause from the audience.

Rishu Patel, a Grade 7 student here said, “(Trump) will make us safe”. Rishu and his father Jitu Patel were probably the only Indian-Americans at the rally.

Tennessee has around 25,000 Indian-Americans, majority of them living around Nashville and Memphis, which has one of the oldest Hindu temples built some 20 years ago.

One of his die-hard supporters, Mark, who works in the IT sector was of the view that Indian-Americans are not taking away the jobs in his sector.

“They bring in quality and diversity,” he said, displaying a banner which read Trump supporters are silent majority.

In his 40-minutes speech, Trump reiterated his promise of building a wall along the US-Mexico border.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie who endorsed Trump on Saturday also spoke at the rally. Trump is a strong leader and is the best among others in the fray, Christie said.

Hundreds of people came to the Trump rally hours in advance. The venue was full hours before he arrived.

Latest polls indicate that Trump is leading in 10 of the 11 states, except for Texas where he is giving a tough fight to his main rival and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

“We might even win Texas,” Trump said, as he continued to lash out on Cruz and described him as a liar.

“We can be better than ever before,” Trump said.

Our IT jobs are being taken by India. This is a huge problem. American students graduate and have difficulty finding work because India companies only hire India workers transfered here on work visas. US currently issues 200,000 work visas to India. Somehow American graduates are less qualified to work in America? This is an outrage !

That's why the people kicked them out. But what's Modi's contributions in 2 years? He has pushed the country into total chaos in just 22 month. Now if these people were in power for the 60 years, India would have been another stan or Afghanistan. So don't blame others and be a cry baby... prove it to the people that modi got brains...

Canada also should follow Future POTUS Mr. Trump's policy and bar the Indian IT cos from bringing cheap labor and robbing the jobs of Canadians. Already cl action suit has been filed in a U.S court by a former employee against a media co for wrongly dismissing them and employing Indian H1B visa holders in their place. It is disgusting that government also remains a silent spectator. Canada also should raise work permit visa fees considerably and follow the procedures like U.S in granting work permits.

In a twisted and perhaps naive way, it would be great for India if Trump succeeds in his mission. Atleast the brains that stay back can be used to get India etc to be more compeive and work towards creating the native GEs, MSs, Googles.. Or atleast give these American cos a run. I understand that the only growing markets for these cos currently are China, India and the like. Trump's stated policies to close out on immigration, may actually trigger local govts here to make and implement policies that can spur local innovation, markets and growth. Still a pipe dream, with lots of if's and but's...but may be a god send. Just saying?..

If all the goods and services produced in US are consumed by USA, then there is a logic in what Trump says. However if he expects US produce and service to be used/sold outside the US, he doesn't have much choice but to employ other nationals inside or outside US.

Without Indians in USA many of their key administrative works will crash. USA does not have that many educated, qualified, and experienced Native Americans to replace the Indians. He is just boasting in the air.

Chinese economy is much much closer to the US economy in terms of GDP. Yet I do not hear one chinese speak with this kind of uncouth language. I decobels was a measure of GDP India would qualify otherwise it is just hot air for the foreseeable future.

TRUMP WINS BIG ON TUESDAY and NOW ESTABLISHMENT IS GANGING UP TO STOP HIM: In an unprecedented move never seen in American History the Ruling Elite; the establishment of the Republican Party is ganging up openly with “Carrier Politicians” and their Masters the financier, the lobbyist, the Wall Street and the US based foreign organizations with deceptive names to “STOP TRUMP”. Every one is making stupid statements including Senator Ted Cruz, the spouse of Heidi Suzanne Cruz an investment manager (VP) at Goldman Sachs to the media that they will unite to stop Trump. This is the same Goldman Sachs that paid $675,000.00 to Hillary Clinton for 3 speeches. Any sane person will call this Speaking Fee as bribery not a Speaking Fee. They have announced that the “PAC to Stop Trump” will get more funds and increase their staff. The naive Ted Cruise is giving a call since he has defeated Trump 4 times; others should withdraw from the race and unite behind him to defeat Trump! He is not concerned to defeat Hillary. Al of them are uniting to channelize their energies and shady millions raised from dubious sources to bring down Trump! They are forgetting what happen to Jeb Bush from the dynasty. Even after spending almost $200 millions he could not defeat/stop Trump. Trump has won 10 states out of the 16 states, Cruz 4 and Rubio 1 that held primaries/caucuses so far. Trump is ahead with 340 delegates as to Cruz’s 228, Rubio with 109, Kasich 27 and Carson with 9. Trump has won the votes of men, women, minorities, educated and not so well educated from different religious back grounds across the board. What the establishment and their supporters are doing now to stop Trump amounts to trampling the voters intent. The voters in America will not allow them to be bulldozed, rather they will make sure the Republican Carrier Politicians and those who are put up by the establishment in the general election in November are defeated. Trump campaign is a movement to change Washington and throw out the ruling elite and the lobbyist. Be a part of this historic, unprecedented, honest and exciting Campaign not financed by lobbyist or US based foreign organizations with dubious names or Wall Street or big businesses! VOTE and SUPPORT TRUMP! Lets MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!

If Indians are so smart, why is India's GDP and Per capita income so law inspite of so many jobs handed down by US that India could not create for itself? Get off the high horse. The tomatoes you buy in India for 30 rupees cost 500 rupees in US. Cheaper labor, not edge in smarts is the reason jobs are sent overseas. How many major tech companies did India start and how many jobs did they create?
