Syrian rebels said on Sunday that any evacuation of people from the last opposition-held district of Homs city would amount to the government ending its commitment to a truce, after the state announced that such an evacuation was set for Monday.

“If any person is evacuated from al-Waer (district) or any other besieged district in Syria … the regime will have clearly ended its commitment to any proposed truce, and all the revolutionary factions will continue in their legitimate right to fight it,” said the statement.
