Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu today said he was “ready to work” with Russia to prevent a repeat of last month’s downing of a Russian plane by the Turkish military on the Syrian border.

“We are ready to work with Russia to prevent a repeat of similar incidents in the future,” Davutoglu told foreign reporters in Istanbul, warning that without proper coordination over operations in Syria there will always be a risk of “accidents or unintentional confrontation”.

The downing was a political decision cleared by top Turkish hierarchy- control in peace time rests with them. In war, the proclamation authorises the military to act without having to look back.

Turkey has changed very quickly. Russia has started bombing the tankers and the Turkish PM has realised the world found out about his treachery.

Turkey has woken up to reality confronting them, after their act of bravado of shooting down Russia's plane. They very well know that Russia doesn't keep unpaid bills and it's just a matter of time before they get paid in good measure for their misadventure.
