Taking on the Nawaz-Sharif led government, former prime minister Retired General Pervez Musharraf has claimed that Pakistan is facing international isolation thanks to its own wrong policies. Musharraf’s statement comes in the wake of the postponement of the SAARC summit scheduled for November in Islamabad, as Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Bhutan, joined by Sri Lanka on Friday, pulled out citing concerns over terrorism.

According to Dawn, the Chairman of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) spoke by telephone to APML workers on the party’s sixth foundation day and lashed out at the government. “It is astonishing that the government has taken and spent a loan of $35 billion but not a single beneficial megaproject has been completed with that money. Instead, the people have been suffering because of the government’s corruption,” he said.

Training his guns on New Delhi, Musharraf stated that India is only good at hurling threats but if Pakistani military decides to act on them the response will assume a far more practical form. “India should realise that Pakistan is not Bhutan. India has a habit of leveling allegations against Pakistan each time there’s an attack on its soil,” he said.

The biggest mistake made by India was trusting this man. Even after Kargil, Indian media and establishments continued to engage him and that is the most unfortunate part. Under UPA, Indian govt was virtually run by s.

Those who are familiar with stan know quite well what stan is likely to do n days to come! There already are some silver lines in the cloud! Now you got CPEC project. In the name of "security" you just have to ask Chinese to keep their purse continuously open! This time you got a goose which will lay golden eggs everyday of the year! The w year is just one season that will repeat year after year! If it does not lay eggs just put a line, "we will use the bomb (on you), you gave us"!lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;This in fact what stan did with US and after getting some hands on experience there, you can successfully do that with Chinese!lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;It is not a friendly nor an enemy advice. Just an analysis! But quite promising for you, isn't it?

stan is a failed state. It has failed its people and is a threat to its neighbors, particularly India. For the first time in free India's history I see a policy that is both sensible and courageous. Any terrorist attack on India should immediately trigger a targeted (surgical) strike on the support system in stan. No one wants a war. Neither India nor stan can afford one. But stan needs to be held accountable for its actions. This will also get much more media coverage in the West and put additional pressure on stan to negotiate a peaceful settlement to the issues and get on with trade and cultural exchanges between the people of the two countries.
