Robert Francis Kennedy’s daughter Kathleen Kennedy Townsend on Tuesday claimed that former United State president George HW Bush will be voting for Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton in the upcoming presidential elections. Kathleen posted a picture of her shaking Bush senior’s hand with the caption: “The president told me he is voting for Hillary!!”

Bush’s spokesperson, however, did not confirm or deny Katheen’s claim. “The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days,” Jim McGrath told CNN. “He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim.”
Bush’s younger son Jeb Bush ruled out extending support to Clinton. In an article that appeared in Washington Post, Jeb Bush wrote: “I haven’t decided how I’ll vote in November — whether I’ll support the Libertarian ticket or write in a candidate.”
Several top Republican leaders have decided against voting for party nominee Donald Trump. A former US Treasury secretary, who served under Bush Jr, recently announced that he would be casting his vote for Clinton.
