The mystery of Bermuda Triangle – a 5,00,000 km square patch in the Atlantic Ocean – has baffled many for decades. At least 75 planes and hundreds of ships have reportedly disappeared while crossing the patch in a mysterious manner. This has also given birth to a number of conspiracy theories including that of alien intervention and a lost empire within the depths of waters in the Atlantic.

Now, a report in the Daily Mail quotes scientists claiming that hexagonal cloud formations due to extreme weather conditions could be behind the disappearance of ships and aircraft.

According to multiple reports, these hexagonal clouds create ‘air bombs’ with wind speeds of around 170 mph which has the potential of drowning large ships and bringing down planes.

“They are formed by what are called microbursts and they’re blasts of air that come down out of the bottom of a cloud and then hit the ocean and then create waves that can sometimes be massive in size as they start to interact with each other,” Daily Mail quoted meteorologist Randy Cerveny saying.

However, it needs to be noted that such revelations are not new. Earlier in March this year, scientists had claimed to find craters up to half a mile wide and 150 feet deep under the water. This led to a possible explanation that explosions causing the craters to open up may have led to incidents of disappearance.

At least 1,000 people are reported to have lost their lives in accidents around Bermuda Triangle in the last 100 years.

When they enter the Bermuda tryangle their compes start to go crazy, right and you can not see the horizon so what I think is that the clouds start to form into a heaxagon and starts to form a magnetic field that pulls the bomb either from al the way down in the sea or the water inside the clouds start to get hard and splashes in the ocean that causes a. If wave that can kill millions of people, and a lot of planes disappear because the magnetic field prevents them from flying the plane and that is true

Not true.. It happens elsewhere too., The fact that it's near a busy shipping lane to US led to the loss of ships and aircrafts.

I believe that Bermuda triangle mystery shouldn't B considered as Solved till confirmed thru' further experiments. Agreed that 273 Kmph wind typhoon can create such conditions with gt; 15meter water waves but missiles and Jets travelling at around 2 to 3 mach should b able 2 cross them without any effect.

Why don't we keep a large ship on Bermuda triangle and observe?

This mystery hasn't been solved yet? We are trying to explore craters and sea beds somewhere in MARS without solving the mystery near us?

Legend has it that over 1,000 planes and ships disappeared while crossing the area betwixt Bermuda, Puerto Rico and Florida. ... The fact is, planes have traveled across the mysterious zone for years and continue to do so, despite the myths!

Hexagonal s in the clouds caused by what? Certainly not a natural process I believe.
