Republican presidential candidate and billionaire Donald Trump is infamous for courting controversies. Recently, Trump came under fire for his call to completely ban Muslims from entering US.

The proposed ban would apply to immigrants and visitors alike, a sweeping prohibition affecting all adherents of Islam who want to come to the US. The idea also raised immediate questions about whether it could pass muster under constitutional protections of the free exercise of religion. “Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,” Trump said in the statement.

Here is a compilation of some of his controversial statements:

1. Our great African American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore!

Many of us, myself included, may not like Mr Trump becoming the President. But what he says sometimes shows us the mirror and help confronting reality. The problem lies in the ideology more than people. And the heart of the issue is Quran itself. It has at least 109 verses openly inciting violence and many more against women and other minorities. For a detail discussion one can check this in Quora- Educated and moderate Muslims must understand that everything written in Quran is not right and must not be the basis of living in any civilized society, mainly in secular democracies. And they have to say/do it openly, more aggressively- so that Muslims from less privileged background with less education and exposure get the message. In many sense, ISIS, Taliban, Al-Quida actually interpret Quran correctly, more literally. As a Christian or Hindu or Jews, it's the duty of them first, myself included, to keep that religion or "way of life" on the right track, prevent it being hijacked by extremists and fundamentalists. The same is true for any religion or race, Islam included. Just throwing few great sounding or 'peaceful' verses from Quran or Hidath could not hide the fact that there are at least 109 verses that openly preach hatred against non-believers, many more against women and other minorities. Many more in supporting text of Hidath. Mere changing 'interpretation' would not turn black into white. Extremists would find enough motivation from those texts of violence and hatred in Quran or Islam, than the peaceful ones. It would not change much unless those highly educated and 'moderate' Muslims can openly say that everything written in Quaran is not right and must not be guiding principle to live in a civilized society. Chanting the mantra of peace or throwing meat to mad dogs can never bring peace. It only embolden the thugs, terrorists.

USA is the main culprit to destroy peace. It remained hostile to USSR and ultimately succeeded to dismantle it through the blood of Afghans with training to mujahideen in special created madersa and publishing out of the contest the chapter picked up in pieces from here and there from holy books. Every holy book ask for war when RAKSHAS grow in power. Osama and others are all trained by CIA and Mossad. Israel has Islamic named secret agencies which work among Muslims and get their jobs done. CIA is master in manuplating everything. Saudi Arabia and west Asian kings and dictators are used to do the job by guarantee to their kingdoms and rule of dictators by coup with all military help. These nations are provided bombs to be used against their own subjects. What is needed is to make Muslim nations independent in deciding their fate with no order from his master voice. The people of Muslim countries are under the clutches of evil leaders.

Very thoughtful script. Mirror is not required to look at the wounded palm. Jihad, extremism etc., serves the vested interest to grab power in the name of (religion) Islam. There are many Muslim spiritual & enlightened leaders motivating people of every religion for peaceful co-existence and meaningful placement.
