Pakistan: Security forces foil infiltration bid from Afghan side, kill 1

Forces recovered one SMG with five magazines and two hand grenades from the slain militant's possession.

Pakistani security forces today foiled an attempt by the militants to cross Pak-Afghan border in Lower Kurram agency and killed one of them, officials said.

A group of militants tried to enter Pakistan’s territory from Afghan side in restive tribal region. The Frontier Corps challenged them and killed one of the militants, they said.

The FC also recovered one SMG with five magazines and two hand grenades from the slain militant’s possession.

The militants were trying to enter Pakistan for conducting sabotage and terror activities in Thall and Hungu areas bordering Kurram Agency, they said.
