The head of the U.N.’s migration agency warned Wednesday about increasing reports of sexual violence directed at Rohingya Muslims, who have been fleeing violence in Myanmar in recent weeks. Director-General William Lacy Swing of the International Organization for Migration said he was “shocked and concerned” about the reports of sexual and gender-based violence among Rohingya newly arrived in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

IOM said rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, child marriage and other forms of gender-based violence have been identified. It did not specify who was responsible for the violence.

The agency is coordinating the humanitarian response among U.N. agencies and aid providers amid the exodus of an estimated 480,000 people who have reached Cox’s Bazar since Aug. 25, when attacks by a Rohingya insurgent group against police posts in Myanmar led to massive retaliation by the country’s army.

An agency statement said IOM doctors have treated dozens of women who experienced “violent sexual assault” since August, but that the known cases likely represent only a “small portion” of actual cases.

Swing said such “egregious violence and abuse is underreported” even in more stable and better-resourced humanitarian aid situations.

“Sexual and gender-based violence is a severe, life-threatening public health and human rights abuse,” he said. “Particularly women and girls, but also men and boys, have been targeted for and are at risk of further exploitation, violence and abuse simply because of their gender, age and status in society.”

If Myanmar was having 50 percent Rohyngias in 1950 , by now the whole of Myanmar would have had 98 percent Muslim population, if one goes by the history of the Islamic countries. If one goes by the same principle , Rohyngias should accept Buddhism. Islam and Buddhism both are religions which believe in conversions and so conflict is bound to happen. Rohyngias killing of politically weaker Hindus in Myanmar is worst form of terror politics of conversion.

The problem was created by the British colonial government by importing cheap Bengali laborers from current India (location Bangladesh) in World War Two. Since then The Bengali Rohingya have moved to Burma from Bangladesh illegally and then began to behave as Muslim barbarians always do. The Bengali( Rohingya) have been terrorists and there has been the element of ‘Islamization’ going on, in Rakhine since 1942. The statement that "Rohingyas" become terrorists because of long oppression and discrimination against Rohingyas is wrong as "Rohingyas" has been already terrorists before Burma military regime born in Burma. The root of the problem is Bangladesh’s overpopulation fueled by lack of birth control. Bangladesh is the real culprit and is encouraging its surplus population to flood the neighboring countries including Myanmar. Myanmar is only a scapegoat. Instead, the attention and international pressure should be directed to the Bangladeshi government.

OIC should take some exemplary measure to settle their brethern in some Gulf Kingdom where they can lead a good life. Why these Muslims beg for alms in a Hindu Kingdom like India which is again prohibited in Islam.

UN was formed by the west to protect their vested interests. It was formed when the world did not know about the main intent of Islam i.e. to wage the holy war on all others in this world. Neither has this body been able to truly handle problems between nations. As if to continue with its tradition of supporting only Muslims across, they are dumb and blind on the attrocities on Hindus based on the recent findings of the Mass Graves in Rakhine. They eyes are only focused on Muslims but blind to the terrorism on the name of religion being followed and spread by Muslims world over. Recognize this as the reason for the next mass genocide before it happens and a particular community is wiped out from the face of this earth.
