Pakistan-based terror organisations- Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) among several others — were on Monday named in the summit declaration of the BRICS countries, in a win for India’s campaign against terrorism originating from Pakistan. The BRICS nations also said those responsible for committing, organising or supporting terror acts must be held responsible.

“We express concern on the security situation in the region and violence caused by the Taliban, ISIL/DAISH, Al Qaeda and its affiliates including Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, the Haqqani network, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, TTP (Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan) and Hizb ut-Tahrir,” said the Xiamen declaration, adopted at the 9th BRICS Summit in Xiamen.

“For the first time specific listing of terror organisations has been made (in the BRICS declaration),” Secretary (East) in the external affairs ministry Preeti Saran told reporters. The declaration referred to terrorism at least 17 times, apart from mentioning other forms of extremism and radicalisation.

The 43-page ‘Xiamen Declaration’, adopted at the end of the five-nation BRICS plenary, stressed on the need for immediate cessation of violence in Afghanistan. “We reaffirm that those responsible for committing, organising, or supporting terrorist acts must be held accountable,” the statement said. A few days ahead of the BRICS Summit, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson had said, “We noticed that India, when it comes to Pakistan’s counter-terrorism, has some concerns. I don’t think this is an appropriate topic to be discussed at the BRICS Summit.” Last year at the 8th BRICS Summit in Goa, China had reportedly opposed the inclusion of the Pakistan-backed terrorist outfits in the declaration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was joined by President Xi Jinping of China, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Michel Temer and South African President Jacob Zuma. According to officials, Modi raised the issue of terrorism strongly at the BRICS Summit and was joined by other leaders, who expressed willingness to fight this menace.

Talking about India’s position on terrorism, Saran told reporters, “Terrorism is a scourge that has to be addressed collectively by the entire international community. And, I think, increasingly there is a realisation that you cannot have double standards in tackling this scourge.” “You cannot have good and bad terrorists. It is a collective action,” she said. Saran also said that prime minister Modi also raised the issue of speeding up the long-pending UN Security Council reforms during the Summit.

US doesn't have much choice. If they don't retaliate this nonsense will not be controlled, it will only grow. As far as Russia and Chinese are concerned, they won't mind, once enough damage is done so that main people are taken out, they can again claim it as part of it. US cannot risk it being attacked without any rhyme or reason. This time it is a threat to all the countries in the range. South Korea will have to prepare for the Worst, prepare now or it will become worst later.

It's not going to make much difference of dealing with Pakistan when the mindset of most Pakistanis has been purposefully transformed to hate Hindus and India by the rulers of Pakistan. Day and night 24x7 Pakistani media controlled by the establishment lies and lies about India. Pakistanis understanding of India has been so much distorted that only lies are propagated about India in Pakistan.

India has allowed to create a monster in it's backyard in the form of Pakistan. I held India equally responsible for letting the Pakistani army play havoc with people of Pakistan.

As Tarik Fatah says that the cancer has reached the stage that Pakistan can be cured now. It has to be destroyed. India must work actively to divide Pakistan into 4 parts.

Pakistan is perhaps the only country that has banned all of its local languages and forced Urdu on all Pakistanis. Urdu is not the language of Panjabis or Sindhis or Baluchis or Pastunis. Urdu is the language of Muslims of UP in India. Then how come Urdu become the dominant language of Pakistan.

Pa kustan's gamble with China is a big failure. So it was with US and Europe. Nations only see their interests. One cannot depend on others, will never succeed. You build your nation brick by brick. Nukes are no guarantee for national integrity. Pa kustan needs peace, education, modernity and trade. To US, Japan, China, Gulf and Russia India is more important.
