On the morning of May 16, 2008, soon-to-turn 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar was found dead in the bedroom of her house in Jalvayu Vihar, Noida. Her throat was slit and her head bludgeoned. The family’s live-in domestic help Hemraj Banjade was seen as the prime suspect in the murder, but, a day later, Hemraj (45) was found dead on the terrace of the same flat. His throat was also slit and he had suffered injuries to his head. There were wounds all over his body and the door to the terrace was found locked from inside.

Noida Police suspected the twin murders to be an insider job and said that they had been committed with ‘surgical precision’. Talwars’ former domestic help Vishnu Sharma was initially named as a suspect in the case. Soon, Delhi Police also joined the probe. Aarushi case: Follow LIVE UPDATES

Six days after Aarushi’s body was found, police suspected it to be a case of honour killing and her parents, Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar, both dentists, came under the scanner. Noida Police alleged that Rajesh had committed the twin murders after finding Aarushi and Hemraj in an “objectionable” position. However, no forensic or material evidence was provided to substantiate the claim.

On May 23, 2008 Rajesh Talwar was arrested for the double murder. As the case became a topic of household debate with divided public opinion on who killed Aarushi, the case was handed over to the CBI.

On June 13, CBI arrested Krishna Thadaraj, an assistant at Rajesh’s Noida clinic. On June 20, CBI conducted a lie detector test on Rajesh Talwar. Five days later, a second lie detector test was also conducted on Aarushi’s mother, Nupur Talwar, as the first one was found to be inconclusive. After spending almost two months in jail, Rajesh Talwar got bail on July 12.

As the investigation continued, narco-analysis tests were conducted on the Talwars. In December 2010, CBI submitted a closure report on the grounds of “insufficient evidence”. Giving a clean chit to the servants, CBI named Rajesh Talwar as the prime suspect. However, due to lack of evidence, CBI did not charge him. The court said the case could not be closed.

On November 25, 2013, CBI judge Shyam Lal convicted the Talwars guilty of both murders and destruction of evidence. “The parents are the best protector of their own children and that is the order of the human nature, but they have been freaks in the history of mankind when the father and mother became the killer of their own progeny,” the judge wrote.

“They have extirpated their own daughter who has seen 14 summers of her life and the servant, without compunction from terrestrial terrain in breach of commandment that ‘thou shall not kill’ and the injunction of the holy Quran ‘take not life, which god has made sacred’.”

The CBI court awarded life imprisonment to the Talwar couple a day later. The couple then filed an appeal in the Allahabad High Court challenging the previous court’s order. The court on October 12 acquitted the dentist couple for want of evidence.

Every1 gives from their point of view, blaming the parents. From Media to Civilians, since they dont want to c the truth. What wud u do, if ur very young cute child in such situation? -u say 'NP' and walk away silently and bear thru the rest of the life and the child will be on a rampage and defame PARENTS again (since we blame parents only, not the child) -u kill urself and the leave the kid to suffer in future so others can take advantage of a 'female' (oh trust me, little girl wont be seen as a girl anymore, only as a pleasure doll (like Christians secretly doing and Muslims doing daring out) -u kill urself and the kid? The parents did not choose 1st. To me Last is better. They shud have chosen that. Since WE SHOULD FEEL PROUD THAT WE R KILLING THEM EVERY SECOND. They took such steps, they r already DEAD. what v r doing is killing THEIR SOUL, which is worst.

I have no interest to know what court says, bcz for me every verdict in indian history is half judgement bcz our court feels witness on the either side would have lied to some extent and the even punish them as well however no punishment for advocate who would have lied hence our system have a big gap improve judicery

If the parents were ashamed of their daughter's conduct, they should have eman ted and disowned and disinherited her. The other option is for them to commit suicide and leave the child alone. An African lion takes over an established pride by challenging and fiercely fighting the current Pride male, chasing him away or killing him. Then he systematically kills all the cubs sired by the defeated male so the lionesses would come in to heat. The Judge was correct in pointing out that parents protect and defend their offspring and these parents acted differently. They acted according to cultural expectations. What a pity! It shocks me to note this happens in India in the 21st Century. This tribal behavior has to go. Our species is by and large male-dominated and testosterone-driven. As we become civilized and cultured, we start to use the new-brain that operates out of logic and reason and finer feelings of love and compassion. These parents exhibited tribal behavior. Too bad!

Tribal behavior? C how west/europe became. Is that DIGNIFIED tribal behavior? No parent can c their ONLY little YOUNG CHILD in such state. -They know if they killed themselves what will happen to her. -They cannot live in the same roof, knowing what will she become in future. They should have taken sleeping pills along with poison and give the same to their ONLY CHILD and ended this DEFAMING by MEDIA/CIVILIANS like us. They never saw the future that THIS wud happen to them. Something similar WILL happen in our lives too, since OUR INDIAN society degraded 30 years back with Hindus also NOW, following both X-hindus (who pointed us, hiding their filth and looting/killing) these 2017 years War already started in every country. Now even west/europe/arabs r following dharma/karma/rebirth. And our TV won't even show them, scared o Muslims/Christian Mobs. u have check it. Christianity started depopulating already with air/water/food slow poison, since Jesus fake.
