The automobile giant Jaguar, in spectacular fashion, launched the new XF compact saloon in high drama over two inch thick parallel cables, floating over river Thames, in the heart of London’s business district. The vehicle was seen rolling in controlled pace, precariously balancing over tightropes, arresting outrageous attention.
In the first of its kind “High-wire Drive Test” engineered and driven by stuntman Jim Dowdell, a veteran from the Bond and Indiana Jones movies, the incredible adventure began with a person suspended from cables, unveiling the car by pulling off the black cloth covering it. A huge Jaguar logo, attached to the product through ropes was also seen levitating underneath. The feature was designed to demonstrate the car’s lightweight aluminium construction, driven over a length of 240 meters.
