While the world is yet to come to terms with the US 2016 election results, guess what president Obama is doing? He is still around, spreading smiles as he has always done. As the President-elect set to take charge in January next year, a video clip of the president chilling with Jimmy Fallon earlier this year is going viral now, and for a reason.
For the uninitiated, Obama has had the people on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in splits while slow-jamming the news with Fallon. In another video clip from the episode that the Internet is clearly relishing right now, Obama is seen writing a ‘Thank You’ note to America. And what he pretended as writing is absolutely hilarious!
The president sits with his pen and paper, with Fallon right beside him, and looks absolutely serious while he is about to start writing. He notices the melancholic background music that surfaces at such times is missing and makes sure he demands his music. With that taken care of, he starts writing.
“Thank you, Congress, for spending eight years wishing that you could replace me with a Republican or to put it another way, ‘How do you like me now?'”, he wrote, before folding the thank you note neatly and keeping it aside. Soon after, the President-elect Donald Trump’s picture comes on the screen!
The episode which was aired earlier this year also had the president ending his slow-jamming news session with “Orange is not the new black”.
But, it doesn’t seem like a lot of people got his point. Tell us what you think of this hilarious video in the comments section.
