Looks like kids are really sad that US President Barack Obama is not going to be their president in 2017. Unfortunately, constitutionally, a president can only run for two terms but four-year-old Abella Tomlin is really upset about the fact. A video of her crying about missing Obama – filmed by her mother Andrea – has gone viral on social media.
She asks her mother to take her for a movie or “cuddle me and everything – that will make me feel so much better”. Her mother asks her why she is upset, to which, she replies, “I miss Barack Obama.” Andrea suggests her to write a letter to the president or to send her video to him with a message but Abelle just can’t stop crying.
“Abella has been an Obama fan since day one. She has grown up with him as a hero in our household, and as such has always talked about how much she loves him. So I explained to her that the country is getting ready to elect a new president. She immediately had tears running down her face and explained to me that Barack Obama was our president and how could we get a new one when we already had one,” Andrea told The Independent.
The mother also asks her daughter if she thinks Hillary Clinton will make a good president and she nods, still crying.
Nevertheless, Andrea makes sure her children stay away from republican nominee Donald Trump. “I don’t allow her to see anything about Trump. I find him to be unpredictable and inappropriate for most, and definitely for my kids. I don’t want her to see a grown man making fun of people or using hate speech,” she was quoted as saying.
