The emotion love has been described by numerous people in beautiful and disparate ways. But have you ever wondered what it is like for a person suffering from a mental ailment or an obsessive compulsive disorder to fall in love? And worse to lose that love in no time. Neil Hilborn, a poet with obsessive compulsive disorder summarises this and in the process breaks your heart. His poem OCD captures his joys on falling in love, while dealing with the disorder and then ultimately losing it all. “The first time I saw her everything in my head went quiet. All the tics, all the constantly refreshing images just disappeared,” he says. Though he first performed the poem in 2013, it still remains relevant.
