Last week the all new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were announced at the Apple event in the US. iPhone loyalists from all over the world were hooked on to their screens to try and get the update on what’s new and how soon could they get their hands on this shiny new piece of gadget. There is a glossy black after all.
Of course, there are changes – the earphone jack is gone, there is a second rear camera and it’s water resistant! Yay! (For more details and analysis, read Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus: Pricing in India, launch date, and the new features and What’s so good about the ‘new’ features?)
But overall, has there been much of a change? Not really! Is there much originality? Watch this spoof video of the 107-second Don’t Blink video of the Apple event from this year, and you’ll know what we’re talking about. So, what does popular TV host Jimmy Kimmel do? Something that he does best – fool unsuspecting people casually walking down the street! Just after the iPhone was launched, Kimmel’s team from Jimmy Kimmel Live did a segment called First Look: iPhone 7, in which previous iPhone owners were asked if they’d like to try out the new iPhone7, wherein the data transfer happens instantaneously.
Sporting as people generally are, when promised something new, a couple agreed and gave up their phones, which were simply cleaned up, put in a sleek black case and then promptly handed back to them.
One of Kimmel’s best pranks yet, this video is just hilarious. Watch the video here.
Had this been done to you, do you think you would have fallen for the prank?
