WATCH: An iron pillar crashed on a group of Bengaluru school kids performing on stage

Only two pillars were installed for support instead of the mandatory four which lead to the incident.

On February 13, during the annual day celebrations at Max Muller High School in Basaveshwaranagar, an iron pillar fitted with LED lights came crashing down on stage while the school children were performing a dance. According to reports, eight people were injured during the incident.

The police has booked the school management and an event organiser for the mishap, says The Hindu.

Reportedly, only two pillars were installed for support instead of the mandatory four. “We have summoned the management and the organiser for questioning and necessary action will be taken against them,” a senior police officer was quoted as saying.
