After UP tourism booklet left out Taj Mahal from its list of special attraction earlier this month, it angered a lot of people. However, the controversy subsided when the Uttar Pradesh government clarified that it “did not forget Taj Mahal” instead has assigned over Rs 150 crore for its development.

But starting a fresh controversy, BJP MLA Sangeet Som justified the move, saying, “the builder of the monument had worked to eliminate Hindus from Uttar Pradesh and India.” In a video footage released by news agency ANI, Som said, “Many people were sad when the Taj Mahal was removed from the tourism booklet. What history are we talking about? The history that the builder of the Taj had imprisoned his father? The history that the builder of the Taj had worked to eliminate Hindus from Uttar Pradesh and India? If such people are still mentioned in history then it is unfortunate.”

The footage since then has created a huge buzz online and irked many thousands. Taj Mahal and Sangeet Som started dominating Twitter trends in India and Tweeple slammed him for his remark, others were quite sarcastic.

The Taj Mahal, a UNESCO world heritage site, that draws millions of tourists every year was not added to the tourism booklet released recently by the government’s tourism department. The opposition Congress had accused the Yogi government of playing with history. The booklet released by the state Tourism Minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi features other heritage sites including Adityanath’s Gorakhdham temple and temples of Mathura and Ayodhya as well.

If vaults of Padmanaba Temple, Thiruvanathapuram in God's own country of Kerala can be opened why not Tajmahal be subject to scrutiny? After all Mohul invaders did the noble act of destroying places of worship of other religions wherever they went which Owaisi cannot deny. Some interesting controversial photos are in the public domain about Shajahan's Tajmahal and other forts he constructed. All should be scrutinised and made public to know the facts and real history behind it. Why so much noise in media?

What's the fault of Taj Mahal ? It's the greatest monument. It's the property of India , not to any particular person. We should proud of this world heritage. We are in the 21st century. India doesn't belong to any particular religion, culture. So many freedom fighters from different religions have contribution to freedom fight. We don't need any hatred speech or divide politics. We all Indian are one irrespective of religion caste.

Don't be selective in calling Indians. Real India will blossom only when UCC and revocation of article 370 and article 35A take place.Other wise this country will soon become the land of unrest as in South West Asia or Kashmir under our own laws of the land soon. Tajmahal is a beautiful monument with lot of controversies and sorrow of fingers of who built it.

There are millions without bread and shelter in India.Millions defecate in open.Rapes have become a routine.Farmers are commiting suicides.crime graph is rising exponantially. Instead of adressing these serious problems the present dispensation is paying much more attention to communal politics for gaining political mileage. They must understand that they were given mandate for sole reason of development. If they fail to deliver on developmental front, they will be thrown out of power by the same people whose chose them. They must bear in mind that hollow slogans and emotional rhetoric can not work in 21st centuary. You have to work on every front of development and for every section of the society. The politics of hate is not gonna to work for ever.

Quick, get out of Rashtrapati Bhavan too or this man will lay siege to the home of the viceroy that the ungodly Brits built. Quote This decision to build a residence in New Delhi for the British Viceroy was taken after it was decided during the Delhi Durbar in December 1911 that the capital of India would be relocated from Calcutta to Delhi. When the plan for a new city, New Delhi, adjacent to end south of Old Delhi, was developed after the Delhi Durbar, the new palace for the Viceroy of India was given an enormous size and prominent position. About 4,000 acres of land was acquired to begin the construction of Viceroy's House, as it was officially called, and adjacent Secretariat Building between 1911 and 1916 by relocating Raisina and Malcha villages that existed there and their 300 families under the Land Acquisition Act.[3][4] UnQuote
