Twitterati’s favourite time-pass is to come up with hilarious captions for photos – be it US President Barack Obama or our own Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The best caption-battle was on the picture of Modi and Obama, which was clicked during the 2016 G-20 Hangzhou Summit in China. In the picture, the PM was seen following Obama while pointing a finger at him, which inspired Netizens to come up with the most hilarious captions.
Another picture of Modi that went viral on social media was during the launch of Vice-President Hamid Ansari’s book Citizen and Society in which he was sitting face-down in front of a number of people, including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The captions to the photo were absolutely hilarious.
Now, what’s doing the rounds of social media is a picture of Opposition leaders, including Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien, Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel probably having a serious discussion. The picture posted by ANI stated that the leaders were having a discussion in Parliament when it was clicked. Given social media’s history with the possibilities that such pictures present, it was unsurprising that it soon went viral.
As soon as Twitterati spotted it, the battle of captions began and people have been coming up with hilarious ones because of the grim expression on their faces. “World Religion Conference Frm L to R – Maulvi, Priest, Pandit, Jain, Laughing Buddha, a Random ambedkar follower,” wrote a user.
